Magnolia Acquires Alese Gwinn's 'Lying in Love'

Magnolia Press has recently acquired Lying in Love, a romantic suspense by author Alese Gwinn. Pitched during #DVPit as Law & Order SVU meets Criminal Minds, Lying in Love follows Amari, a young woman recently released from prison following the murder of her best friend. When her path crosses with Lochland Connors, an undercover FBI agent working what he thought would be a simple corruption case, the truth of what really happened the night of murder comes out.

Gwinn was inspired to write this book after hearing personal accounts of how the justice system — a system that is supposed to protect people — in fact fails them.

Lying in Love is set to be published in 2019.
